Basic Safety Training
Initial training is carried out in compliance with the Requirements of Section A-VI/1 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978, as amended, and in accordance with IMO model courses 1.13, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21. The course offers theoretical and practical training which includes safety of people onboard, a ship and ship’s equipment as well as environment protection.
The training includes the following:
+ personal survival techniques;
+ fire prevention and fire-fighting;
+ basic first-aid;
+ personal safety and social responsibilities;
+ flood damage control;Advanced Fire-fighting
The course meets the requirements of Section A-VI/3 of the International Convention STCW-78, as amended, and the IMO model course 2.03. The aim of the course is psychophysiological and practical training of ships’ officers on actions in case of fire emergency, development of fire control skills. The training is intended for all the officers involved in fire-fighting.
The programme includes:

+ inspection and maintenance of ship-borne fire-detection and fire-extiguishing systems;
