(SPbMTCTC)

SPbMTC Training Center is located in St.Petersburg , some 30 minutes from the city center and airport.

The training at SPbMTCTC is a combination of basic theory and practical hands-on use of Transas equipment. This combined man-machine interface enables the trainees to obtain the relevant skills to navigate any vessel that carries an ECDIS and specific navigation equipment.

The theoretical training takes place in light, ample classrooms furnished with modern equipment. All practical training sessions are carried out on a full-mission navigation simulator - Navi-Trainer Professional 5000 ver.5.10.

The ECDIS training provides the trainees with knowledge of the ECDIS as a system, the ECDIS operation, electronic chart materials and practical navigation by using ECDIS Navi-Sailor 4000. In addition, the training course includes terms and conditions for paperless navigation.

The training course provides the navigator with the knowledge and tools to safely transfer from traditional paper chart navigation to electronic chart navigation by use of ECDIS.
